In 2011 I bought my own house, with my own money, even after Dave forced me to walk my job because of the intolerable work environment Dave created. He would not have HR verify with the Mortgage Bank I worked there.

# Hiring of Steve Yeich a yahoo executive.  Dave came one day into the office area to talk to me about the hiring or the chasing after steive yeich a high end supposedly with a lot of experience to take us to the next level.   Of course when I heard this news to me it seemed positive becaue dave seemed to be sooo busy he
could not do everything either and to me it seemed logical that someone with experirence take the reigns...wouldnt you?  SO steve came on board by this time we were in the raquet club building vacated by a karate club area, that became localsplash the brainchild of mike and dave as a brand name.  We were becoming a real company I thought for ones....good things will defenatley happen to us because of this.  To all those that have been here since the beginneing because we have worked hard as a company to make it to where we were.  I was developing processes, fine tuning seo so we cut time and teaching my staff to stay ahead while training them on the job while attending meetings and being bombarded daily by seo questions...and then the sales guys stared taking over, becoming interested  in seo to better sell it supposedly.  I had to train....will be back

# No performance review...no raises..changes in title and name only and more RESPONSIBILITY.but no pay...always pushing forward and being the best.

# Non of the managers dave hired above me where competent.  I still kept the same huge responsibilities if not more.  I had to train the director, and many mangers above me as to how the database system works and later brian knowing that i am the 2nd that knows everything stripped me of my manager position and sent me to a non exixting department called Quality Control.  Again why do you think I did it.  I complained to Dave about this isolation but Dave said something that he didnt realize that made me think I could show him I can create and run a second department all over again.  Remember I hired and trained my own provisioning
department and we were rocking.  Dave loved this of course.  REmember no performance review nor raises.  I changed titles at Localsplash and RElevantads so many times and my responsibilites increased but no money or raises or any other for of incentive was given.  Now I started something at the company.  I started
hiring contractors to help me out.  I trained them, wrote all documentation, THIS WITHOUT DAVID RODECKER nor more money from the company.  I did it still.

#  Dave hired brian because he thought kerry and I could not handle the growth with everything that was going on and the growing of accounts and with it calls also increased in customer service but we were also provisioning and optimization.  We had to keep up with this pressure daily knowing that sales still continued to sell dirty and we had to keep up with the pressure of performing while coming on top everyday.  We were humiliated by Dave hiring somone supposedly from Napster..good name and good company...he was however just a bully trying to always proof he is the man on the floor and humiliating and calling everyone out yelling sometimes in a room no bigger than an average Mcdonalds dining room.  I dont know where this guy came from ..but he quickly formed his own little click....everyone else hated him and probably complained to either me or kerry a lot all the employees i mean....some complained to dave direclty others just saw opportunity to tag along with this guy that was blunt to the point of disrespect....all the employees and contractors were on the floor and this guy had to scream while play with department heads...this guy clearly didnt like me from the begining ...he told me he was changing things the way they were being runned so he stripped me of provisioning but I was still suppose to father them...whil alberto ran it to a screeching success. I cringe just to describe what happened next.  He put me in a one man department of QC.  NO guidance nothing.  He wanted to learn as much from me of course and he was always intimidating employess.  Melissa Widdeman wife of steve worked there too.  She was very profesional in customer service but sat like
3 or 4 seats down from where they had me cornered.  Next to us shared the snack area with a real estate management agency that managed the rec area and gyms etc.   She complained constanslty to him about his bullying etc to retribution.  kelly was made head of performaance and I am not sure he had much success..but everyone thought they were an expert. They thought they could figure out how this stuff
works and could be better. etc.  I helped with optimizing our customer service interface and what they saw and used so they can more efficienly access it and can see what they needed to see when servicing a customer.  I also kept up with the numbers of QC and errors and other flags we had put in place that violated google guidelines etc.  I kept watch constantly of performance of of course clients..  We endured bullying etc to the point that a lot of people complained inclding kerry and I and other supervisors and other employees that were close to dave....remember dave was a small company with mostly loyal emopoyeees.  there was a small click...viviana come on the scene but that is another story or blog.    Brian eventually was given a project that he flunked etc and dave started seeing that his way on managment was bad for employee moral and thus performance.  What he didnt understand and no one at the company was the lack of moral...they had silly games to build but we were still bombared with bad accounts that were so messed up that we ended up cancelling.  People complained ...customers and employees at the way of selling.  I was stressed out to the max to wear hats of lead of our major account extraspace to perform so my tacticts were part of the discussion on a weekly basis of consulting that i never saw a cent of performance...I also put my practice in salvaging an account by an appliance repair guy from corona that was sold 15 cities on google local specifically with no sign of success.  He paid good money..upwards of 3,000 dllars for the account and of course the company from san diego had cut ties with us ...I saved the account and got to work sepcifically on my spare time etc.  By this time I was not eating lunch till about 4pm and leaving right after some times becaose of the stress and then the hour of traffic I had to endure to get home.  I needed to be home more because of my puppy I had gotten on 2010 January.  I worked so much, even at home ..5 hours were not unusual...i went to bed at 1 or 2 am working on SEO and Localsplash and then waking up at 6 or 7 to get ready to be in the office around 8am.  I needed to answer calls that were technology in nature and
sophisticated clients wanted a specialist to answer a few questions.   Sometimes I was the factor in them signing up and i never saw a dime of that money.  THe job was very stressful for the pay and the demands of it and the constant battle to keep them signed up.   I stressed so much and had more demands to attend meetings of management were they discussed strategy and etc.  Brian was eventually let go
but if i can think of more things he did I will add it as I go back to editing for
typographical erros etc.

One guy had to be fired to try to fix some little finances and to try to fix morale and brain of course used it to show that he could fire.  He always gave me the eye etc.  I never paid him any mind because I knew how hard I worked and what I knew there and did there and contributed to the company...Dave knew...Steve
Yeich quickly learned that I am sure.  It was a scam though..>I dont know what steves function was but eventually right after Diane was fired not to the 2 months maybe Brian got fired after the move to the new office in Santa Ana which Brian oversaw and flunked the project management test.  No raise ..still more demands of the job..but I still needed to leave at 5pm.>>>Dave Hated that I left at 5 and he knew how hard I worked and what I already contributed...5 differnt hats....I had to beat the traffic to not get home by 6pm or 7pm then cook dinner if I am not exhaused or go out to eat super fast food so I can rest for 30min to an hour then play with my dog a bit and feed him and then put in another 4 hours to 5 hours every night sometimes on satruday and sunday as well.  It was amazing the routine that I build to keep up witht the work and the demands the company put on us with their selling tacticts etc and the expectations of customers demanding answers as to results and justification of billing.   I made appliance repair in corona comapany my flagship account to perform in ranking that later on landed me the area of key accounts or national accounts ...companies that had multiple local facilities and needed more than one account.  WE needed to put extra effort in these becasue the money were good so the results needed to deliver...so we had to super super deliver...nothing wrong with that ...we rose to the occassion and made them perform with our strategy sometimes consuting with dave but devsed usually by me and put to the test on extraspace storage and or the accountts that I took it upon myself to make work by putting in the hours of study and research at home.

FOr some reason I thought my computer or my personal laptop was alwasy bugged by Dave because he has been known to bugg computers and cell phones to find out about peoples lifes..he thinks he is the fbi or other fed agency or has the right to find out about his employees private lives or somethi8ng.  Steve yeich has never contributed anyting significant but just came on board at the right time when the company was making money so he ordered us moved to an uptown real time office space and hired john domingo to continue to sell as telemarketing dirty tactics and high pressure revolving door as reliable listing etc commanded by Russell wallace the current skipper at 29prime...he tried to steal from Dave after being helped by Dave to get started that its pitiful but

kerry and I warned dave and mike who also left over disagreement with dave wanting to release pennies.  I dont know why dave didnt raise his best employees ..its not that he didnt know.  I was never expecting to see it coming from stegve yeicfh ever...nor brian..nor any of them.  THey never would have given me any
advancement.  NOt even matt that was hired to administer the finances by dave..he thinks he is the shit and mistreats others and being head of HR def. never liked me...he thought non of us were educated and he was like the shit cause he is from USC...why do people have to do that...I was always humble and never demanded anything...they never gave me MY OWN OFFICE in the NEW buulding in SANTA ANA..i
had to share with 3 other people a large room...all crafted by vivana...dave flirted with her so much...dont want to get into that topic.>>>Jeremy whom i hired out of recommendation from Kerry, got an office....he also was some sort of a shady character to me...Colby whom he introduced to me and hired by alberto but
hired by me in provisioning is whom made a click or a group of peopole that participated in createing an environment of competiton and he eventually convinceed steve yeich and dave and matt to head on an interim basis when brian was fired and they hired a director of cuwstomer service etc....I as head of key
accounts my own department wth my own new advaanced provisioning and my own process and QC and everyting I built from scratch.   I left the old shell i had build to the other people like alberto who later became the technitian of some sort so colby took over at provisioning learning from me and pretending to be my student until he could take over everyting..that was their plan...eventually he played his own psychoogy of bullying and intimidation that I had never seen in my life...Viviana was behind it all too complainting to dave and steve about nothing ..everything she created to throw my leadership under the bus with lies and deceit
out of her tounge.  colby and her devised the whole thing with their socialissm.  people saw what was going on...COLBY will be in another blog but he later got caught trying to fire someone and his bullying got him fired not too long after celebrating my walking off the job.

I kept hiring people to help me advance my customer accounts and andrew joined me back in the office to perform provisioning and account management and customer building relationship etc...our style was more pro active and reactive and customers loved us for that.  They performed to the max..it was a differnt level
of service.  Our department thrived, we eventually hired our own sales team untit ..they closed accounts and we performed the SEO majic...white hat...that delivered the visibility and rankigns on goolge local and organic and ppc management as well...We were studygin and passed many google certifications so ladies and gentlement this became serious skill and requiremnte...but no raise in pay or advcanement..still all this repsonsibsilty for me.  I was depreved of hiring and expanding and infact matt and his accounitng hr grew by 800% to 1200% as well as sales ballooned probably to 2000% and the comapny soon occupied the whole space in the new santa ana facilty..we were becoming a real comapny but us that were worked to the bone were not given any raises but the occational drink out at the local irish pub.  It is amazing to see how selfish dave became when he stared making the millions....steve has not contributed to any innovation that supposedly he was suppose to bring to the comapny as you got used to running a scam and making the
easy money and everyting you learned from me.  I trained all your employees and some salesman, helped create the manual that used to teach the whole company and worked many tireless hours of my own time at home with the promise of advancement and raise in pay only to remain at the same pay but 5 different hightly important responsibilities now comparables to a CMO or at Most Chier SEO guy stategiest plus operations of teams and technology.  THis was a 400.000 position that was built from the dust becasue it did not exits at the moment.  THe field is still changing to this and adjusting to this.   We need to review daves company history, payroll, HR hirngs and firing...the tons of salesmen that are hired and fired and are promised good money only to be fired for non performance ...or if they got really caught lying or stealing customer data or credit card information..the whole thing is nasty but I was on the technolgy side..I was the good guy delivering on the false promises teh clients were initially sold on.  I felt good about what I Contributed.  I knew it didnt come easy but I knerw that I was save with job secutiry cause dave knewo....and my team rocked..trained by me and only me and they were performing tops.  Steve yeich and dave missed on the opportunity to become yext.com becasue we were good at that and our system was very infant but
the vison was there by me to automate yext since were were automating my strategy and what was being successful at the technolgy level.  I trained writers and conent people so we delivered not only in ranking but in what I thought was lacking ...selling....we sometimes delivereed on great ranking and traffic but failed to convert a searher to a brower to a client.  More On this...Dave got used to the scam and steve went with it ..but they missed on leading the technology field of what yext.com later becaome.  THe vison was on the table...it was spelled out for them by me and other people that eventually saw the vison but lacked the
intiative because it seemed impossible to pull together. THey missed so many opportunities to invest in its employees..you kept us earning pennies even though we gave so much and chantged our lives to get to the office and perform....you knew I spent countless hours you even told me at one point to stop working from home too much.....what u didnt learn was to appreciate your employees that helped you get there...you never appreciated any of us that put in all the raw work and skill to keep us ahead.   Other people just came to benefit and pretent that they could just take over and run it into success but the opposite happend and they ended up making the whole situation and eventually the company the opposite way or into losing more accounts than it needed to.  These people included Diane, brian, this one lady form the iron mountainridge or someting got thrown in there as director...this lady deservers a special blog.

New Update:  February 4th, 2014.
I AM WRITING THE BLOG OFFLINE.  VERY EXTENSIVE AND FACTUAL INFORMATION OVER THE YEARS.  I HAVE A MEMORY OF EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED OVER THE YEARS.  We went from a 5 group team to a 200 member team..and the LEADERSHIP of Relevantads including the owner, he is a greedy bastard that likes to violate LABOR LAWS. 

I WILL HAVE A SIZABLE CHUNK OF INFORMATION BY SATURDAY February 8th. 2014.

I was hired by RelevantAds in February of 2007.  29Prime at this point did not exist but the relationship would start immediately after I was hired by RelevantAds.  Dave the owner used and abused my labor and lied to me and others that good days were coming.  Good days came, other people were hired that knew nothing of SEO and we were all bypassed.  WHY? 2 reasons only..we didn't go along with the scam or because he knew of my labor status with immigration.  That story is coming.

#Imagine hearing in the PR that the company is hitting millions of dollars in revenue but told all your working days of your life that the company is barely making it and next quarter you may get your 90 review which you have never gotten after a year and a half of working there.  I worked there 4 years and days until I could not take it anymore.  This is what happened there.

You, know, I have never pulled all nighters for anyone in the realm of work.  I never went in sick to school let alone any other jobs.  I never used my sick days because I would come in sick.  Sure I have pulled many all nighters in College, but thats because that was for me. I pulled many all nighters for this company, LocalSplash, I worked 15 hour days sometimes working more than anyone else.  My whole life started revolving around this company. I, could tell, from the database that I was the one working sometimes even more than the owner.  I was working more than the owner sometimes you hear that!  Dave, sure he worked a lot, more than anyone. He 
was the only one qualified in a company of 5. There was dave the owner, Bozigian who I am not sure what he was, Nanette, Kerry my first manager there and Nick who was the sole sales guy.  Bozigian later left I was told because of a disagreement with Dave.


I was hired on Feb. 2008 after being interviewed in Dec. 2007 and waiting months to hear back from the company. This was my 1 of 4 interviews I had.  I thought Dave who interviewed me would never call me back. I started on Feb 1st making around 12 bucks an hour.  I never made it past 16 at that company after spending 4 years there with the promise and trust of dave that he would raise us all.  Why I pulled many all nighters worked my ass off more than anyone else for this company.  Because I thought that Dave was a man of his word.  He hired me and was good when there was no money and we were small.  Dave made me believe that being one of the first in the company that did what any excellent employee would do to get ahead.  

I know and have heard that becoming a lawyer and then partner requires a start from the bottom doing all the dirty work for 5 years before making partner.  I dreamed of this at Relevantads.

I have a computer science degree and I only mention this because that's why Dave hired me initially.  I was suppose to be GInni, who was later hired as a programmer.  I was hired as an internet engineer and at the time i was tutoring for Tutoring Club..decent job but u get paid 13 an hour and u dont see a paycheck but once a month. I didnt mind that but I joined Relevantads to have a career.  Every college student dreams of this. I accepted the job with the intention of working my ass off so I can learn everything and make it a career.  Dave put me on the phones to call a new account the company just landed.  ExtraSpace storage.  I was not a phone person...I was not a people person.  I am a computer programmer who hates being bottled programming. I wanted to move ahead.  That requires hard work. Nothing comes easy.  I almost got let go by my manager Kerry because I flunked the first real call I made with his help and they were a customer.  I was not selling anything.  But just to show you my noobness and my non people person personality I did it anyway because it was work.  I worked my ass off day and night to learn how to talk on the phone.  


Eventually I ended up working for Extra Space Storage verifying their placements on Google which takes a painstakingly one call at a time to 600 hundred facilities around the USA and rounding managers who make the decision took time.  I got rejected and hanged up many times because they didn't know who was calling.  The system is so red taped that that's how it works.  But I still worked and worked till I verified 600 facilities.  I was suppose to be a programmer but I took on any responsibility my manger Kerry gave me and also Dave watched me because this was THE BIGGEST Account we had landed.  WE were just a start up.  I only saw about 13 accounts a week.  We only had 1 sales guy on the phone in the same little room I was sardined in.   Nick did what he could but later he moved on to another job because of the pay.  

I could understand at the time why Dave wouldn't want to give Nick a raise because we were small.  Nick did his best.  I stayed working hard day in and day out. Dave hired nadeem to do most of the manual placements and I verified it.  He wrote content and I hit the phones.  I was only Kerry my manager that handles customer service...he had his hands full.  SO Kerry was the WHOLE customer service department.  I was provisioning doing the dirty work and nadeem was the writer.  I started helping to write to help out.  Again I pulled whatever hours I could at this time because I was working part time but was classified as a full time employee. I had intention of joining full time and was working towards it but I still was classified full time exempt employee. Dave kept promising we would grow and at this point there was canned stuff done on all profiles.  THey chared 59 dollars for a profile and to distribute data.  We were the Yext.com (research what that is please) but at the time that didn't exist so dave was offering data distribution through his little database he had.  Ranking on Google wasn't as difficult as it is today however. But still only minimal was done to get those profiles ranking. But still not everyone ranked like that and a lot of clients cancelled because sometime they didn't see the value, never got business etc.  Not my topic here but still.  Just to show you the extent of what we were doing. 

After I joined relevantads a company of 6 or 7 at this point full time..nick had left so dave landed 2 boiler room companies to sell relevantads profiles to businesses.  These guys started bringing slowly more accounts but they also sold dirty and lied and created the whole mess that still exists today between what sales lies about and what the service actually is.  Not the main topic but I will address that in another blog topic.

What I want to show you in this blog entry is why I started working so hard at this company.  I was learning from Dave slowly and was working my ass off doing everything I could do to learn and apply it.  I wanted a career.  Dave promised that.  Keep in mind that Google was slowly changing its ranking algorithms that I will address in another blog entry how it evolved.  But no one at the company new that but Dave, and later I because I got involved ON MY OWN to learn how that stuff worked. 


 TO help the company out I spend many hours of my own time researching and always learning what we are all about.  Because it was only Kerry, Nadeem and I at this point that touched the clients data and could improve it if we knew what we were doing..and we would hear less customers screaming and cancelling.   I wanted relevantads to succeed.  If my boss who seemed like a really cool nice boss at the time could succeed I would succeed.  He seemed to be christian because he was so curious I guess as to why i was christian and I could tell that he had a liking to latinos because his wife is latina.  A nice lady by the way.  Dave's sister in law was the office manager and HR but she was also working in the country illegally but again it was Dave's company and he had her there administering next door in these 2 small rooms we called our company headquarters.  It was a start...but i would not boast to my friends or people that knew me where we worked or what I was doing.  


Relevantads was nothing more than 2 little studio business rooms that I guess is owned by the family of Dave the rodeckers..its a family thing but I don't know any facts here.  If I didn't believe in this company I would not have stayed.  Not for the life of me.  They had me on the  phones and i was suppose to be a programmer or an Internet engineer.  I stayed like I told you initially in 2008 because I believed in Dave and in his promise that if we succeed as a company all would succeed.  He made us believe we were the pioneers of the company.  But all of 2008 brought more accounts to the company because reliable listings RUSSELL WALLING (29prime.com) was the owner of a boiler room sales team telemarketing...from back when they were in the mortgage business.  That tanked so he stared selling for Dave.  He brought his own sales philosophy of deceiving to customers and increased the price from 59 to 159 but without increasing any value or product output.  Our system was small and we did not service that many directories.  Google was also changing its algorithms so we had to be good with Keywords and other Search Engine optimization tactics to get clients ranking.  Dave was tyring to run a company as the ceo ..bozegain bailed I am not sure at what point Mike the executive from AT&T came on board but we were growing as a company and I was working my ass off to do everything right at the company.  I didn't behave like most employees did there.  I knew that if we succeeded in ranking more clients we would retain more and grow quickly and we would succeed.  I would get a real salary for my work etc.  Remember I was at minimum 13 an hour or less.

Extra Space needed attention and other accounts needed attention but we were so small.  Nadeem was filling placements because he was not a phone person like me but I didn't care I BECAME a phone person because I was trying to help the company out and not demand my position as a computer science graduate and should be programming quietly in the room dave, nanette, ginni was in.  Dave supplied snacks so I loved that about that little job.  IT was a job I was trying to make as a career.  I hoped Dave would see this and he did many times..but I will get to that in other blog topics coming.  Today I want to start giving you the first year at as small start up.  

Mike the new executive, was the finance guy.  The Numbers guy.  He realized we needed to add more people and start growing a little bit.  Not sure when it was but it was Mike who suggested that Kerry who was my manager and together with Naeedm and I played dual role in servicing the client's profiles. But kerry was the phone guy customer service.  He knew basic SEO at the time.  He stayed as customer service manger and it was Mike who suggested that since I had been involved in extra space and I was more or less and expert at that and I had put in work to learn so I can free Dave to run the company instead of being the seo guy, I took it upon myself to learn a lot offline company hours. NON Paid.  It was paying off.  Nadeem didn't and refuse to be a phone guy but dave still put him on the phone but he could not overcome his fear and never really got good. HE stayed in his basic editing and filling in data in profiles manually.  He later moved to work from home and part time.  

I will get to that.  Just making comparisons.  I was made manager of provisioning meaning..I would touch all accounts according to basic seo specifications and I would coordinate with dave so we both succeeded in making our clients rank and retain them.  We did not have a system in  place at the time which accounts were not ranking and which ones were.  We worked as the customers called in.  I was responsible for ranking them.  If they didnt rank, it was up to us to figure it out.  I was only Dave and I that had that down.  By that I mean we were the only ones interested in knowing that stuff..he was the owner..he had the investment in the company.  I was just a little employee who mike made a manger because of his hard work.  So I hired people in provisioning as we grew. I was the one that had to train them as they came in and get them all setup to help me.  Nadeem had moved home so I had a bit of help offline and some other lady did the yelp and others but it was manual labor and typing to touch each account.  WE probably had less than 1000 customers.  WAY less ....our sales only numbered 10 a week.  Russel the reliable places boiler room sales guy was off-site in some other city.  He sold and we provisioned.  But of course they lied about how the product worked yet charged 159 for the same product we sold at 59 before he got there.  Clients cancelled more because they paid more.


Russell is a man of no integrity all money.  He does not care if he sucks your money dry, if he sold u, its his money.  He never accepted his guys sold dirty and clients complained to Kerry the customer service manager all the time about the lies that they were told.  Clients have every right to be mad if sold something that isn't later performing as they were sold and charged 159 a month for. YUP a MONTH that turns out to be expensive it if doesnt bring any new business.  Kerry never liked Russell because of that.  Russell turned and blamed it all on  US..kerry and I for not doing everything we can to make them rank.   We cannot make anyone rank with the basic system we had and the manual things we had to do.  Dave I guess wouldn't have that money then.  But money was not coming in.  It never seemed like a fair deal though.  Russell sold many accounts naturally by lieing.  But he also got clients mad and cancelling.  Still he apparently had levered with Dave because he was bringing 30 accounts a week I guess.  He never got more than 40 for the week though because clients still cancelled at the other end.  

GUESS who took it upon himself as provisioning (I only needed to do what was required by the company to provision or fill all the forms with the data) and that was it.  My job was never to make them rank and retouch them or OPTIMIZE as we call it.  It was a total function we had no time for.   We did placements manually and that included AdWords accounts.  I took it upon myself to work 5 hours at home every night WITHOUT a SINGLE extra penny.  Not 1 more added to my 15 dollar an hour salary.  


YES.  When i became a manager I was raised to 15 an hour and I never made it past 15 an hour.  I probably spent the whole of 2008 ploughing away taking it upon myself still as a manager..because we had no people to do it at the office.  Later of course we automated some of the placements so it helped but we were all customer service again.   I may have been manager of provisioning...but I still helped Kerry out with customer service and I took care of the biggest account BY CHOICE not because Dave trusted me or gave it to me.  I wanted this company to succeed because it meant that I succeeded.  That never happend though.  I will tell you in other blog posts what happend.  Russell, remember blamed all HIS accounts and he based the performance on US.  he wanted us to forcefully do more for the clients than we could do.  We didn't have the manpowere and we were wearing many hats.  It was crazy.  NO one would want to do this level and type of work for the pay.  Not even as a manager was it worth it.  But because Russell was bringing the most money to the company dave listened to Russell and asked us to do more.  I did my part at home which helped.  As the money came..dave stared adding people at 8 an hour or whatever minimum wage it was.  They opened another suite office as part of relevantads but we were still a joke of a company.  We had no real facilities.  We were quickly outgrowing those 3 rooms.  I hired a few trusted brothers of the church that I figured were witty and could learn this thing if taught by me.  I could trust them I thought to do good work the first time so It would help in the long run.  I probably had over 10 employees under me in provisioning and we were growing.  But the problem was the way they sold.  It was all lies at least the performance of it.  They were promised quick turn around and rankings and LOTS OF LOTS OF CALLS TO YOUR business.  They promised and guaranteed this.  OUr product was lean.  I started working offline studying at night and researching on my computer to stay ahead putting many hours.  I figured if I worked from home I could help myself because I could do what was required during live office hours in which clients are calling in.  Kerry was busy all the time.  He also started hiring for customer service because we were growing. Many growing pains but we were growing. 


I could tell though that it was hard to envision a future and building a career in internet marketing or SEO.  The two trusted brothers I hired..I had to sell them the vision.  I had to sell them that I believe in this company and that Internet marketing or SEO which was in its infancy will bud and we could all make a career.  IT was hard to believe because we worked hard for months and no raise nor bonus nor nothing...even though dave always promised it would come.  We always voiced our concern to dave who kerry and I treated as also a close friend because we were the ones that stayed after 5pm.  I used to give Dave the owner rides in my first car I ever had.  I had a stake in this company I thought and I made myself believe in the vision that I could make a career out of this.  And I saw clients rank.  What i learned offline was working.  I shared this with the company because it benefited the clients and my work was being accomplished as a manger.  But here was stil many growing pains we were going through because of the sales.  Everything pointed back to sales.  Dave never listened though and would not demand anything of russell because he was bring more accounts than any other resellers.  Sure dave added more resellers later but they all dropped off.  They realized our product was slim and the all sold or over hyped it to make the sale.  Everything to get the client to take the credit card out of the wallet.  Kerry was busy with trying to save clients...mike was counting the money...dave was going through growing pains to the system.  HE had to program with ginni and I.  I played dual had as manager of provisioning, becoming the SEO expert for local and also sat in system meetings and eventually became the system analyst translating what we needed on the floor of provisioning and customer service with Ginne and Dave to come up with the best solutions.  I was on the floor and I was a computer science grad so I spoke her language and I was the manager knowing what i needed and knowing technology enough that I designed and helped dave translate what was needed to work better and more efficient.  ALL WHILE earning 15 bucks and hour for 8 hours only as an exempt employee.  I never got a single dollar more than that.  Dave always claimed the money was being reinvested in the company and also that russell was being paid all the money.  WE didn't make the money until the 2nd or 3rd month the client stayed with the company.  


I had a lot of internal conflict as to what was going on in sales and provisioning, customer service and however many other functions I served.  I knew the system inside and out so everyone came to me for questions instead of Dave.  Dave was too busy growing the company to be asked many little questions that arose about SEO or any other database questions.  Ginni came to ask me extensively for help as well as Kerry who was initially my manager now asked me questions about performance.  By this time they had hired Michel Orafice as Business Development Director he was in charge of getting more resellers as well as market the company.  He helped me a little bit.  Returning to the conflict that I had, I could not stand why we just couldn't sell right.  I was ashamed to manage a company that lied to customers.  I had brothers from my church, christians there.  I had to face that reality and separate that as just my job.  Kerry and I always voiced our opinions against letting Russell get away with the scam he was running but Dave went with it because the money was good.  Remember this is end of 2008, now early 2009.


But remember clients cancel when you lie to then initially as to how they are going to perform.  They are expecting a quick turnaround and ranking..like and ad in the newspaper..but it went further because they were expecting calls.  We could not deliver with the system we had.  I took it upon myself to help Dave...IT WAS not part of my salary or work requirement.  But I did it to help the company out because if they succeeded I succeeded.  That never happend after 4 years there though.  I was bypassed by less qualified people.  I will get to that in another blog.  I was performing manager duties plus 3 other duties all because I knew we were a growing company. Imagine hearing in the PR that the company is hitting millions of dollars in revenue but told all your working days of your life that the company is barely making it to wait for next quarter. Anyway..I will continue form here later.

# Diane hired..manager ahead of keery and i.  Having both qualified but in the bunkers of the war..we were both passed because we were good at what we did.  If kerry got promoted or I ..the company would suffer.  Dave hired an airhead outsider and manager of both kerry and i.  Remember russell blamesd it all on us.  WE were at fault for clients cancelling.  We didnt do enough as if we could...to make them perform as the clients were told on the phone.  Russell forced dave to hire an expert.  Russell hated kerry because kerry told him to his face to sell right.  But our requests were never heard by dave..he might have tried to listen to us..but hte money stared being good i guess with what russel was producing..because later as other resellers started dropping off, russell started hiring other offices or setting up other offices with his lies.  He actually sold or made people pay him to set an office with him.  he started making money off of clients from commission of dave and also selling to other investors (don't be impressed with the word investor) others willing to pay him to setup offices.  HE targeted people like him that can lie easily and are corrupt at doing business.  He attracted 4 offices that opened with a different name but still selling shady.  Dave let them.  We were growing and were getting more accounts and the company overall had more revenue...but dave downplayed it and never really gave all of us that were there from the beginning anything really.  He knew how hard we were working.  That database tracks all hours that I worked there..even offline.  If Dave were an honest man right now..he would admit to all this factual history.
